Hartford to cut 500 jobs across country

Hartford Financial Services said it will cut 500 jobs across the country as part of a company initiative to reduce expenses by an estimated $250 million by the end of 2009.

The company employs about 31,000 people.

What a ride! My brother and I drove Nextel Cup cars at Pocono Speedway in PA last year. We were on the track at the same time and clocked speeds over 175 MPH...what a blast! It was my third time behind the wheel of one of these monsters and what a rush.
